What is a clearspan marquee?
A clearspan marquee is a aluminium framed marquee. The word clear span is used as these types of marquees have no central support poles like a traditional marquee.
The world clearspan has nothing to do with the transparency of the sides or roofs unless specified.
Why use a clear roof marquee?
A clear roof or clear sided marquee is recommended to be used in lovely surroundings so you get an outside inside feel.
It brings in lots more natural daylight and provides a unique finish in comparison to a white sided and white lined marquee.
How much does it cost for a clear roof marquee hire?
It is a little more expensive than having a lined marquee. This is due to the fact clear roofs require more maintenance to keep clean and the initial outlay for the transparent roofs themselves.
Does it get hot in a transparent marquee in the summer?
Advice for Weddings & Seated events with clear roofs
It you kept the side walls rolled down then in direct sunlight guests would be quite uncomfortable on a hot day.
We recommend to roll the sides up in the marquee during hot days. On very hot days this sometimes isn’t enough and it is still too warm inside.
We recommend for seated events in the summer to have a max of 50% of the marquee with clear roofs, the other half lined.
That way you can make a last minute decision taking weather into account. If it’s a really hot day you can have your dining section under the lined cooler section, with the dance floor/bar area under the clear roofs.
